Frequently asked questions

Why does the bank ask for a construction estimate?

For a home construction or plot-plus-construction loan, the bank needs to know the cost of the building to decide the loan amount and to release it in stages as work progresses. The estimate must be on a licensed engineer's or architect's letterhead, signed and sealed.

What does the bank estimate include?

Particulars of the applicant and site, building details with a floor-wise area statement, specification of works, an item-wise detailed estimate with quantities and rates, an abstract of cost, a schedule of major materials, a stage-wise schedule for releasing the loan, and the engineer's certificate.

Will the bank accept your estimate?

Banks accept a construction estimate signed and sealed by a licensed engineer with their registration number, which is what you get. If your bank has its own format or an empanelled engineer, tell us on the call and we will check first.

What do I need to give for the signed estimate?

The approved building plan (or the plan submitted for approval), the site address and survey / plot / khata number, and the applicant's name as it appears on the loan application. Our engineer calls you to collect these after you order.

How do I pay for the signed estimate?

Order online and pay ₹1,000 (50%) now. Our engineer calls to collect your documents, prepares and signs the estimate, and we courier the original to you. When it is sent you get the courier name, tracking number and a photo of the courier receipt on your order page, and you pay the remaining ₹999 there. Courier is included.

Do I get a soft copy?

Yes. A PDF copy unlocks on your order page once the full amount is paid, alongside the signed original we courier to you.
